I contacted King Price Insurance for a quote for my car. I dealt with Makuke Sekgala who was very helpful in convincing me to take out a policy with KPI. I was forwarded all the documentation via e-mail & told that in order to complete the application, I needed to take my car to Glasfit for a vehicle inspection. I then contacted another insurance company for a comparative quote & found that policy better suited to me. I sent through written confirmation to Makuke that I will not be taking the insurance with KPI & he is to ensure no deductions are taken off my account. I also did NOT attend at Glasfit for the vehicle inspection & therefore in essence did not complete the application. I was then contacted by Tracey Miller in Retensions to confirm cancellation, I furnished her with my ID number & again confirmed cancellation of the policy. I then assumed the staff at KPI attended to their jobs and cancelled the policy, needless to say I was very shocked to recieve notification of a first debit order deduction for KPI. Firstly I cancelled the policy & secondly I did not take my vehicle for inspection, how is it possible for KPI to deduct money given the above? I fully expect a refund!
