Two to three weeks after receiving and using my smart shopper multiplier points, Discovery Card informed me that the points had been over allocated and that they would be deducting points. This left my smart shopper account in the negative, because I had already spent the points. I have been arguing with them for a week as I do not believe I should be punished because they could not react to a system error in a timely manner. If we had known the points were incorrect, we would never have spent them, but seeing as they took WEEKS to notify us, they cant penalize us because we spent the points. I want my smart shopper account restored to positive levels, and not at my expense as this was not my error.
