I cancelled an Old Mutual policy I had signed up for a few days prior to 29 May. After going through the process with the call centre consultant, I asked for proof in writing that the policy had been cancelled. I was told that the reference number I received was my proof. I insisted on receiving proof via email at least. When I was told that the call centre consultants did not have access to send emails out, I insisted again, and was then informed I would receive proof via my email address within 7 - 10 working days. I got the feeling the consultant was not too happy with this arrangement, and as it is now day 10, I would like my proof of cancellation to be sent to me now.
