Purchased a 2-nt stay in Montagu today on Groupon.
Received the voucher from Groupon "Two-night midweek stay for two adults"
Called the hotel to make the reservation. Apparently Groupon had made an error on their site and it should only be for 1 nt. They will not honour.
And Groupon won't cover it either - they will only refund.
Their own T&Cs state that "the transaction will be complete (and a contract for Purchase will be concluded) only when we email you confirming the transaction and attaching your Groupon coupon "
I have the coupon and a contract of sale that they won't honour. Surely that contravenes the consumer protection act.
