Like some of the other unfortunate people I was also caught with the sales person's. My partner and I attended the DVC presentation and after a lengthy discussion with the very sleek sales person, I made it clear that we might not be able to afford this "Special" of theirs, but he assured us that if we find we are unable to afford the payment all we need to do is contact the Head Office and they will gladly cancel my membership. Well it so happened that we ran into some serious financial difficulty since that meeting in December. I only payed the deposit and the first installment is only due end Feb 2013. I phoned their head office and explained that I need to cancell my membership upon which the lady in accounts replied that its impossible to cancel as it is a binding contract. She said that I could write a letter to the TRUSTIES, but it wont help. I asked if there is some sort of senior person I could speak to and was told her manger will tell me the same thing. Some start to the new year. People like this should be stopped. How many others have they not caught the same way.
