This morning at 07:45 my wife was travelling on the R27 towards Melkbosstrand to drop my son at school. The car in front of her put his indicator on to turn left towards Big Bay. The Golden Arrow Bus came from Big Bay and wanted to turn right onto the R27 towards Cape Town.
As the driver of the bus saw the car in front of my wife was going to turn, he simply pulled away and drove right in front of my wife. He hit hard on the brakes and stopped a couple of centimetres from the side of the bus. As there was a lot of traffic, my wife could not get out of her car to get the driver's details or his registration number. He in turn, simply pulled away and waved at her. I wonder if he had the slightest idea what he just did and that he could have been the cause of 2 people's death this morning on the R27.
Drivers like these should not even be disciplined, they should be fired. They have the mentality that they are sitting high up in the vehicle and that they are so called "untachable".
