RCI represented Hermanus Beach Club as a Gold Crown Resort with accommodation very difficult to get, no timeshare point swop available but R 600 per night on a rental basis. I booked for a 3 night stay starting on the 16th of Aug 2013. Very very disappointed the unit is of a poor quality with very basic furnishing definitely not Gold Crown, have stayed in other Gold Crown resorts. Half of the globes do not work, none in the lounge.
The wires to the wall mounted tv and decoder (supply your own Dstv smartcard for a Gold Crown resort??) look like an illegal electrical connection just looking at them I can count 12 wires.
The quality of the bed and curtains is not good, I could go on forever.
Always had good experiences with RCI but this one is really rock bottom.
Could have booked into a B&B for the same price or less for the two of us.
