Booked a 1 way ticket & mistakenly put my wife's middle name as surname. SAA Customer Care told me that nothing could be done, as once ticket is issued, no name change is allowed. Thus I was supposed to buy a new ticket & submit the wrong one for refund. As simple as the process appeared to be, from Monday till Friday, having spoken to 5 different agents, including one who escalated the issue to a certain Baldwin Bokwa, whom I was told to sent an e-mail with copy of wife's passport to no avail. On Thursday 11AM the email was sent to Baldwin, with no response whatsoever. At 9pm same day, I called again and another agent promised she would leave a message on the system to have him contact me first thing in the morning (Friday). It being holiday, I completely forgot about it until around 16h40 when I called again trying to keep my composure, yet frustrated and irritated, was answered by LERATHO MAPHOSA, who calmly heard my story and in a matter of minutes sorted the problem. New ticket was issued, old one was sent for refund, daughter's ticket was linked to wife's so it didnt look as UM and there was an SAA frequent flyer on the verge of exploding, HAPPY AGAIN. Leratho is STAR.
