Bad call centre manners

I was contacted on the 26th July at app. 11H 42 from tel phone no.087 805 4800. The lady informed me that she was from Sunset in Cape Town doing a supposedly follow up to a market survey that I supposedly participated in approximately a year ago. I then informed her that I know what is going to happen, that after the so called survey, I would be invited to a presentation, and that I was not interested and that could she please remove my no from the data base. Before I could finish talking, the phone was put down in my ear. I proceeded to return a call to the number displayed, and was informed that it is Global Travel, and that there are a 100 people working the phones, and that she is unable to assist by putting me through a line supervisor. I have received calls which have a very similar format, I can only assume that it is the same company changing the name of the so called market surveyors. I have to stress, that I am not opposed to legitimate surveys, as I do think that the serve a purpose. I do however take exception, and it is in extreme bad taste that a company would use ulterior motives for business gain and to add insult do not respect the wishes of the phone owner.
