Internet Usage without BIS

Hi

I recently migrated from Blackberry 100 contract with Vodacom to TopUp 315. I still use the Blackberry handset. Now beacuse I am not interested in using any blackberry related services like BBM, I opted not to take the BIS service. This service costs R59.00. But I still want to be able to browse the internet, just like with any other device (Nokia etc) using the data on my plan without being forced to take the BIS service.

WHY AM I BEING FORCED TO TAKE THE BIS SERVICE FOR ME TO ACCESS INTERNET. I CAN DO THAT WITH OTHER DEVICES LIKE SONY EXPERIA WITHOUT BEING FORCED TO PAY AN UPFRONT FEE.
