Telkom
Upgrade to no service

In February, it took Telkom a month to fix my line - after them just closing several fault reports without resolving the issue or even contacting me. They then phoned me just after the line was fixed, promoting an adsl speed upgrade. I chose to uprade the line from 11/04/2013. The following day, my line was completely dead. After logging fault 813CRK120413 and now speaking to about 4 agents and 2 supervisors, no-one can tell me what is going on. Some say the open order to upgrade the speed is holding things up, others say the fault is still with their testing department (after they already ran tests and found the fault at the exchange) and other say it is in the technical queue. I cannot afford to go through another month of fighting to get service - and obviously no-one at Telkom cares. Moral of the story - don't bother to upgrade ever, they'll take your cash happily and give you nothing for it.
