I reported a fault with my ADSL line a month ago (OQW-904-35310). Everyone at Afrihost support I contact keeps saying this & that is being done to fix it but NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. Finally two weeks ago someone figured out it was a problem with my line and said: "I have logged the fault with Telkom and you will receive a reference number via SMS. Telkom should be in contact soon.", today I'm told there's no problem logged with Telkom.

I've sat with a virtiually useless internet connection for a month and still get the same 'I'll log the...' rubbish. Someone at Afrihost needs to take ownership of a problem and sort it out. Today My pings to Cape Town servers average 1002ms, downloads at 0.04Mbps and uploads at 0.03Mbps. I PAY FOR A 2Mbps LINE NOT A 56K DIALUP!

Changing a ticket's status to 'closed' when the problem hasn't been fixed is insulting. You can't close a ticket if the problem hasn't been fixed. I PAY YOU FOR MY ANSDL LINE, YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO MANAGE IT. WHEN SOMEONE REPORTS A PROBLEM YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE TELKOM FIXES IT AND THAT ITS FIXED ON TIME. YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW UP!

At the end of the day how friendly your support staff is is irrelevant if they can't fix a problem.
