Failed to assist the custome

According to Telkom they are saying that i said because I didnt settle my account my Telkom line was cancelled, this is the message Telkom put on Hello Peter,

According to our records your matter was attended during the month of February 2013 with the reference number ARS 219756. Feedback was provided to you by one of our advisers on the 22 February 2013. You advised that the reason why the line was cancelled was due to the outstanding balance of R995.06.

If Telkom had done their homework they would have see that this account was paid in full proof of this payment was send in from their branch office in Westgate Mall in the Roodepoort area, but they failed to even see that, I'm not prepared to pay again for Telkom to change from a open line to a prepaid line, they told me that they could change it for me, so I expect them to change the line for me, and I need this done asap, why do they do this to their paying customers.
