USB port on my Nokia E7 stopped working and I could not charge or connect to the PC. Phone is 1.5 years old so I have approached Nokia Care in Sandon for repair. I have been advised that due to the liquid damage my phone will not be repaired and my guarantee is void. I am very shocked by this as traces of moisture found inside the phone should not be classified as "liquid damage" but rather effect of normal usage and minimal condensation especially next to metal housing of USB and HDMI ports. In addition this "liquid damage" could not affect proper operation of the phone or would not contribute in any way in USB port problem. I have contacted Nokia and have been told that service agent, Reconnectmobile, has a final decision in this respect. It looks like there is no other way to challenge this verdict as there is no other approved Nokia Care centre in JHB.
