Hi. I was previously an existing Vodacom subscriber who had 2 lines on a 24 month contract. When 24 months lapsed I then became a prepaid customer as Vodacom decided to charge me an additional amount for the same contract on a month to month basis - this was not agreeable to me hence I became a prepaid member. I applied for two contracts (two lines) with the apple iPhone which application was approved until I heard some disturbing news. Nowhere or at any time was I informed of the below prior to becoming a prepaid customer.
I was informed that due to an INTERNAL rule, I do not qualify to become a Vodacom contract member (again) on the same 2 lines for a period of 6 months since date of expiry of previous contract -despite me having great earnings and having a great credit rating... and of course previously being a contract holder. This is shocking to me and would assume that Vodacom would want to retain customers rather than exclude them.
How on earth can this be the case - please pray tell.
