Wife purchased new Nokia Lumia 920 which cannot dial " 27" numbers. When I leave her a missed call my number appears as " 27 82. When she attempts to call me back the phone says the number is invalid. 27 numbers work fine on a Blackerry. Nokia claims it is Mtn's fault. Mtn denies responsibility. She cannot create music lists either. The internet is filling up with complaints in this area as well.
MTN will not allow her to return and swop the phone out despite the following from the Consumer Protection act, "Within six months after the delivery of any goods to a consumer, the consumer may return the goods to the supplier, without penalty and at the supplier's risk and expense, if the goods fail to satisfy the abovementioned requirements and standards, and the supplier must either repair or replace the failed, unsafe or defective goods, or refund to the consumer the price paid by the consumer for the goods, at the option of the consumer."
