On 01 January 2014 my phone would not charge. I took my phone to the Kenilworth Cell C branch on 02 January 2014 to be booked in for repairs as it is still under warranty. They sent it away and advised me that it would take approximately 21 working days. They do not provide you with a loan phone while your phone is in for repairs and I therefore could not use my contract sim card as it is a micro sim and the phone I had to borrow does not take a micro sim. Eventually they mailed me yesterday, 29 January 2014 to advise that i can collect my phone at the branch. When i got there the store consultant checked the phone and it still did not charge. They had my phone for basically a month and did not repair the thing i booked it in for. They booked the phone in again and I was told i need to wait another month?! I am paying for a contract where i do not have the phone nor can i make use of my sim with free data and minutes. I think this is quite ridiculous. The quality control sheet sent back with my phone indicated that the phone was charging, so clearly someone is not doing their job correctly if the phone did not want to charge in store but they claim it was checked.
