Dear Telkom,
After having a iPhone 5 on Telkom Mobile for just over 12 months with hardly any reception (this was reported 3 or more times on this site and not once sorted out) I submitted a cancellation form on my 076 --- ---- contract on the 25th of Jan 2014 and paid R5202 as per the call centre woman which would be my final settling amount to have this contract number cancelled and closed for good. A woman in the Rosebank store faxed it to the Head office and provided me with proof of successful sending. On Monday I called to check if this cancellation was in progress and to my expectations nothing was even recorded on the system and the lady advised that I call again in the week. Its Thursday morning and I spoke to Baffanna. He could not find anything on the system that said I called to on monday to check on my cancellation status nor could he provide me with a ref number for this call..telkom does want to take responsibility for their bad service and therefore tracking is made impossible.
I have proof of settlement on this number and will take you to court if in two days I get Debited for this account.
I will also go to distant lengths to make my Circles aware of this exp.
