Since last year around October the internet connection in the Stellenbosch area has been somewhat terrible. A friend labeled it "3G of Doom" as any time any of our phones displayed a "3G" (UMTS) internet connection we had no connection at all. Only when it displayed EDGE or any of the H level connections could we actually connect to the internet. A representative from your call centre logged the fault, but was convinced that it was not your service but my phone, to which I explained that it worked perfectly fine anywhere outside of Stellenbosch.
I am not sure whether this happens to everyone else (it would seem BIS users are immune), but I know of at least a few other people who also have this problem and in an age of smart phones mobile internet is a must and the service I am getting is just not acceptable. I have an HTC One X for the record.
