I immigrated to Germany beginning last year. I still had a contract with Cell C and went to the Three Rivers branch to settle all my accounts and to cancel all contracts. They provided me with the amount I needed to pay to close and settle the account. I paid what was told to me, went back into the shop with the proof of payment. They cancelled my accounts and everything was, according to me, finalized and ZERO owing.
To my surprise on the 15th of January this year a deduction of R23.50 plus bank charges went off from Cell C. I contacted my bank and they said I needed to contact Cell C directly. I phoned from Germany and the lady at the help desk could not understand why any payment was deducted and would get back to me. She even said that this was clearly a mistake from their side. Customer services came back a couple of days later and said my funds were depleted. What does THAT mean in the first place. They came back and said that my contract is still running and I owe them and they will deduct off my account until the contract expires in June 2014. This is a breach of Contract from Cell C's side. I want this to be sorted out immediately.
