Everyone who lives on the ridge bordering with the botanical garden can not get a proper telkom adsl connection. This, confirmed by a source at telkom, is due to a old and faulty line (s) connecting the ridge to their exchange. Telkom simply does not care to do anything about it and simply keeps on sending their technicians to test/repair the numerous faults logged on a weekly basis instead of fixing the major fault.
This fault is obvious as the adsl lines fail as soon as a drop of rain hits the ground.
I myself have logged more faults than I'd care to count and from the time I moved my service to this location I don't think I've had 2 weeks of continuous service. I'm paying the same amount as those who get proper service from telkom, thus I wan't the same quality of service or at least a SLA driven payment plan where I only get charged for what's working, when it's working!
