Telkom takes its time

On New Year's Eve my telephone line was knocked out by a hectic storm.i I reported it to telkom but am sad to say that there is no more verbal communications with fault reporting!!! I was given a ref no on the 2nd of Jan which is 62CNK020113 then on the 4 th January a SMS to say that it was with the tech department. Nothing!
On Tuesday the 8th I went to the pine rest centre in Pinetown to try and see when I can expect the technician I was promised that they would be there the next day but still no one came I have tried to phone a person today to no avail please tell me how do you get to speak to someone at telkom that knows what the is going on!!! I would appreciate some help from you please. I need my land line and my adsl my husband is a diabetic and it is not allways ideal to talk on the cell as it is very expensive.
