Have to move house to get Internet

I've just been told by uMhlanga Gateway Telkom that the line I requested 2 weeks ago wouldn't become a reality as there are no ports available. This was after I was asked to run around the neighborhood getting peoples telephone numbers so Telkom could trace it back to the correct exchange. (Otherwise I was told to wait for a 30 day investigation)

Telkom heavily advertise ADSL and getting your Home connected however fail to have adequate infrastructure in place to make that a reality.
I was offered to go Wireless however their prices way more expensive and there is no uncapped option, on checking found they found the area only supported EDGE... I live 2.5KM from Gateway uMhlanga.

So it looks like the only way I'm getting the internet is by moving House.
