I was duped into signing up for a contract with Jabba Connect.
I don't know much about cell phones, because I'm not into the latest gadgets. I have an HTC with a touch screen and I'm in the construction industry so the screen gets dirty and doesn't want to work. Someone suggested I get a Blackberry.
Jabba phoned me out of the blue and offered me a topup contract with a Blackberry for R345. I hate those cold calls, because they're always pushy, but in the end I signed up.
The Blackberry they gave me can be bought at Makro for R1800. And they give (gave) me R115 air time per month.
Jabba maths for 24 month contract:
R345 per month = R8280
R115 per month = R2760
Phone value = R1800
Amount ripped off = R3720
Companies like these should be shut down, because they're duping unsuspecting people. To make matters worse, I haven't received my air time for almost 3 months. But they've got me on ITC, so I'll just have to pay.
