Upgrade from 4 MB to 10 MB

I recently made the decision to move from MWEB ADSL to back to Telkom's ISP. During the process I used the "Broadband Availability and Speed Checker" and saw that my line can be upgraded to 10 MB.

I went to Telkom Direct in Fourways today and they helped very quickly get a Telkom internet account. I asked them to please upgrade my line to 10 MB. The consultant said they need to phone another department to do this. She was passed around to three departments and eventually told to send an email to request the upgrade.

I wasn't happy with the process, so I phoned 10210, when I can't home. I also spoke to three people and was then transferred to Telkom Activations but I never managed to speak to anyone, as I was on hold for over 15 minutes and gave up.

Please can you tell me what the correct process is for upgrading my line. The process doesn't seem to be clear, even for Telkom employees.
