Autopage has allowed someone to open up an account using my ID Number. I live in Cape Town but all of this happened in Johannesburg. How does this happen? I haven't been to Joburg and I haven't lost my ID. How does Autopage open accounts? I told Autopage in January that the account does not belong to me. I've been to the Blue Route Autopage store 12 times to report this and to get the manager to sort it out. I've been to the police station and had the Blue Route store fax my affidavit and copy of ID to them... I've called the head office myself. And on 3 occasions when staff from Autopage called me regarding outstanding money I've told them that this is not my account and I've tried to explain the situation to them and asked them what I must do. After all this, I now get a call from a collection agency!!! I want someone from Autopage to contact me immediately.
