For the last 4 months I have been trying to get CellC to stop sending me junk/promotional sms's. I have phoned, emailed and gone to a CellC shop and been assured verbally and I have it in writing, that I will not receive them anymore. I am now receiving them at 06.04am!! And I have just received another. The last person I spoke to on Monday said that if I still get them, we must escalate to the IT Dept.- I do not work for CellC - you need to fix this. I also changed my email address 2 months ago on my profile and for the past 2 months I have had to phone in for a copy of my statement - this was also blamed on the IT Dept. Does anyone work in the IT Dept? According to the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act of 2002: Any person who sends unsolicited commercial communications to a person, who has advised the sender that such communications are unwelcome, is guilty of an offence and liable, on conviction, to the penalties prescribed in section 89 (1). I WILL TAKE THIS FURTHER - PLEASE JUST STOP!!!
