Conversion of my number to contract

On Friday 25 October I received an SMS stating that my phone number has been upgraded to Vodacom's Top up 49. What was a real surprise is that this was done without my authorization. On contacting Vodacom I was told that RMCS had converted my number to the contract. Now this conversion has resulted in my BIS going off cannot BBM, Whatsapp or receive any e mails which are important for the work that I do. I have been calling RMCS since Monday and was told that this will be resolved in 30 minutes that Monday. Now it is Wednesday and still nothing has been done. This is a real inconvenience as my work is suffering as a result of this.
What I also want to know is that how can this be done without someones authorization in the first place. I would just like my number back on Prepaid as it always was and need a speedy resolution to get back to doing my work.
