After power failures or storms, my telkom line does not come back up. Its not just mine, everyone in my complex and complex across the road has the same problem. Telkom previously told me that there is a problem with the exchange, and they are waiting for equipment. This was months ago. I have complained numerous times about this, but they send you from pillar to post with no commitment to get the problem resolved. I am currently paying a full months fee for 2/3 of a months service almost every month, so I should actually not pay for every third month. Attitude in their call center is just that they are sorry, and that they are not able to get hold of supervisors for me to speak to. They also constantly try to blame my internet service provider (MWEB, who is awesome by the way!!) for the problem, although I cannot event receive or make calls on the analogue part of the ADSL line. If you threaten to cancel, they just tell you what number to call to do so, they just don't care, because they know you can't go anywhere else for ADSL.
