I requested a sim swap yesterday (25 Sept) and was told I'll be contacted in 24 hours. Unfortunately, when they did try to call, my phone had "No Service" due to Cell C's poor coverage. I later received an SMS saying that the case is closed as they could not get hold of me and to call Customer Care back to open a new case. Needless to say, I'm peed off at this unprofessionalism shows by this service provider. And this is certainly not the first time receiving such pathetic service from Cell C or even worse- pathetic network coverage.
