Hi people,

I would like to warn a few fellow South Africans about a wicked fact that 8ta does as its business practice.

Imagine you bought one or more cars on credit through wesbank. Now for whatever reason you fall behind on one of those cars. If wesbank had to act in the same way that 8ta does, they will instead of only repossessing on the one vehicle they would have instead repossessed all of your cars.

By looking at it through this example, you would surely clearly see this as. But not 8ta. To them this is standard business practice. In my example I had two contracts. 1 contract was for data and the other for mobile calls. I did fall behind on the one due to me being sick for away from work for a total of around 30 days. Needless to say there was no salary. Clearly not intentional, but happened never the less. But there was enough of a debit to have kept my data contract running. But instead because the mobile contract was behind, they decided to continue to charge me monthly for the data contract, but keep it suspended as well.

So in turn, charging me for a service which was paid, but suspending that service so it cant be used.
