Hi there
I have received 2 spam SMSs this week. I'm a Cell C subscriber.
The first sms read:
Someone you don't know has shared their private pics with you. Click [URL Removed] Play private pic share! sms stop 44539R10/day
The second one:
New video message received! Open: [URL Removed] zuma mobile/optout: sms-stop-30971
I have not subscribed to any such service. I don't surf the net for lewd material.
I have sent 2 sms to opt out, but received no response. Am I still subscribed and paying the daily fees? Who knows.
If I have to send an sms a day to stop this spam, I will spend quite a lot of money over a period of time. Is Cell C involved in this? Are they perhaps forcing their customers to send 'opt out' smss so that they can generate more funds?
