Cell C my money

I currently having with cell c.
Last month they told me, they have finished deducting money into my account. because of the contract that expired last year may and they were refusing to cancel it.
I have been trying to call them, but their help desk is useless.
I don't know why should i keep on paying for a sim that is on prepaid.
Can somebody call me and explain how they work.
