My ADSL line with Telkom has been giving me continuous problems. Cals were logged by the call centre, technicians were sent out, only to be without service again within a couple of days. I eventually decided to keep book of lost time, and since the 7th of august I have lost a total of 13 days of service. My line has been down now since monday the 26th up to date. All i get is regular sms"es saying the problem is being attended to a technician called Dudu was out here twice. The last time he made an appointment with me to test the outside line. I took off from work to allow him access. He never pitched.
Every time have contacted the call centre, they promised to make sure I get refunded by the accounts dept for lost time. This has never been done. Also, I get charged on the faster package for a 2meg line, even after it was confirmed by the technician and the call centre that i would never be able to ave a 2meg line due to istance. They refused to rectify my billing, and i have been paying almost double the rate I should since had the line installed.
This makes me think, Telkom advertise a 1st world service in a 3rd world country.. SHOULDN'T THIS BE CLASSIFIED AS FALSE ADVERTISING?
