A few days ago I went in to Vodacom Meyersdal to report a claim for my son's damaged iphone 4. I have been paying insurance on the device for over 3 years, and have been a customer of Vodacom with numerous contracts for near a decade.
My son's device was damaged a while back and due to my busy schedule and high profile job, I was only able to go in and report the damage this week.
Today I received a call to let me know that my claim will not be entertained as I should have reported the damage to the phone within 45 days.
Even though they were happy to accept my monthly insurance payments, now suddenly I am being smacked with all the fine print.
I have never claimed on my insurance for any of my vodacom contracts and have been a loyal customer. Now when it's time to claim from insurance I have been studiously paying, I get the typical terrible customer service and support from Vodacom and the insurance.
Unhappy and considering cancelling all my contracts with Vodacom.
