Big problems getting a new simcard

I am highly upset with MTN. My mother has been a loyal MTN prepaid customer for over 15 years now. She has kept her original sim card and it has always worked. Recently I got her an iphone, we were informed that my mother couldnt just cut her current sim card smaller because it was outdated. We then proceeded to get my mother a new sim card, which took about 10 minutes. The process was fine up till then. To activate the sim card my mother had to call and answer 3 questions. This is where it gets absolutely ridiculous. My mother doesnt put in airtime often, she doesnt spend alot of money on her phone, now one of the questions was "When was the last time you loaded airtime? " It was a while ago so obviously my mother couldnt remember, its not like you write down the date everytime you load airtime. Next question was, "who was the last person you called" My mother doesnt make many calls, normally the family phone her hence the reason why she doesnt use a lot of airtime. So now thats 2 questions wrong because she guessed it incorrectly. Now the story is that my mother is a criminal who has the sim card and its not activated on the network. Is this the way to treat customers MTN?
