I have upgraded from a blackberry contract to a smart m package for the Samsung S4 end of April 2013. I was not informed that 1. I needed to do a SIM SWOP, 2. needed to take my bran new phone for a software upgrade, 3. cancel BIS which was part of the initial BIS contract NOT a separate item.
I eventually got to a rude consultant at a vodacom CHATZ store, and did my sim swop. Only to figure out later on that there was a problem with my handset as the signal, kept dropping even as you were on the call. there were over 10 parts that needed to be replaced. the customer care centre were very pleasant.
At this point i didnt know that BIS needed to be cancelled separately, until i saw it appear on my statement for 2 month. VOdacom, please tell me why i should cancel something that is part of an original package. how come the BIS was still active but the remaining contract wasn't. Surely because its part of a contract it should all be cancelled together. that would be LOGICAL. I seriously dont see why i need to pay R59 per month for something that I am not gonna use since my original sim card doesnt work and a new micro sim card wont fit into a BB. I would like to get a refund for the 2m
