I had a cellphone contract with Cell C

Hi,

I had a cell phone contract with cell c but i paid it off and dont owe them anything - now i called their customer care line to take a new contract and they tell me my contract was deactivated and its declining. my question is how can it decline while i paid and dont owe cell c anything... is it how the treat their valuable customers??? they send you from pillar to post without getting any help.
