Contract not canceled as per agreed email

I cancelled my contract via email with cell c call centre. i received confirmation email stating that my contract will be cancelled on 24 April 2013. i complained to the call centre after receiving an invoice with charges for May 2013. no response to date and contract still not cancelled.
