I am a Red Bull Mobile Customer, which falls under Cell C. My Contract expires 23/07/2013. I receive two sms's from Cell C confirming this as my contract end date and that I am due for an upgrade on the Straight Up 100 package, "just pop into any Cell C store". I go there, nobody can help me to upgrade. Eventually they tell me that I should cancel my RBM contract now, pay a R270 early contract end fee, I will be on prepaid in two days and then I can get the S4 deal.
I do that on 18/05/2013, Sipho fills in the forms, sends it through to the head office and tells me I should call 140 with my reference number in two days to confirm that I am on Prepaid. I do that today, 21/05/2013, they tell me they received my paperwork and my contract will be finishing on the, wait for it 23/07/2013!
Why go through all the effort and pay the R270 if my contract ends on the same day?!
I received two sms's initially that I can upgrade, which was proven to be a lie. I was told to pay R270 and that I will be on prepaid in two days which also seems to have been a lie. How do you expect to keep customers with this kind of service?
