Two days ago I went and bought a R110 recharge voucher because I wanted to buy a 250mb promo bundle. I already had a 250mb promo bundle active but it was about to run out so I wanted to make sure I didn't have interrupted service.

I recharged and loaded the bundle. I start using the data only to get a message saying bundle depleted. I thought it was just the old one finishing so I carried on. Instinct told me check my airtime balance and it turns out my airtime was being used instead of my bundle.

A call to Vodacom's data help desk got me in contact with Marlene. She was professional and friendly. Took the time to do things properly and understand what my problem was. Escalated the problem for me and gave me my ref no. Less than an hour later I got a call from the advanced data help, apologizing and crediting me with the R13 airtime that had been used incorrectly and gave me my full 250mb data.
The same thing happened with my other line (it seems it was an issue on that day) quick call to the data help desk again (didn't quite catch the name of the operator this time) who was also incredibly efficient and I got the airtime used returned plus 100mb bonus!
