I had an ADSL line and I went overseas so made it a prepaid line whilst people rented my house. I came back and wanted to reactivate it to have internet access. I applied for this ADSL service. A normal analogue line was reconnected and not ADSL activated on it - I was also not notified of the connection and as I only use it for internet and that part of the service was not connected I was unaware of what had happened - I also received no bills despite my data being on file. Several month later I have accounts contact me regarding an unpaid account for line rental. We followed up and discovered the service as asked was never completely installed. They rectified this and I now have ADSL internet. The problem is I now have 2 separate Telkom accounts - one for the service I asked for - working correctly which I am happy to pay and am paying and a separate account with an outstanding balance for line rental for a service that was never correctly installed. Despite speaking to supervisors and registering a dispute and getting reference numbers - this has now happened 4 times - Telkom Accounts appear to be completely incapable of rectifying this. WHAT NOW?
