Coerced into signing surety for bursary

In 2006, Telkom granted a bursary to my younger sister. When the lady from Telkom came to make her sign for the bursary, she needed my mom to sign part of the forms. We explained that our mother was in KZN but she said that the forms had to be signed that same day or my sister would not get the bursary so she said I must sign for them and assured me that it will have no negative impact on me. I was a student at that time and was being treated for major depression, so it never crossed my mind that this lady was lying to me about signing the bursary forms being nothing serious. In 2011 I discovered that Telkom had issued a judgement against me because my sister had subsequently changed her chosen degree. I have struggle to get proper jobs because of this judgement. I feel it is so unfair that I was tricked into signing surety when I was not even working and was on the verge of dropping out of university due to major depression. I have all my medical reports for that time and letters stating that my university exams had to be deferred. What are the porcedures with regards to reckless lending?
