At the beginning of August 2013, I went into Benoni Planet Fitness to cancel my application to join the gym. We spoke with Gary (the Club Manager) who assured us that he would take care of the situation.

We assumed that it was taken care of & cancelled as we have not heard from him after that, even after sending numerous emails to him to ensure it was cancelled.

On the 19th December 2013 I received an sms from Saya Recoveries informing me that I am in debt and will be handed over. I emailed Gary that morning and tried calling 3 times that day, leaving messages each time, with absolutely no response. I eventually got hold of him the next day, and he once again assured me that he would take care of the situation. I have not heard from him since.

On 13th January 2014 at about midday, I went in to the gym to see Gary & find out what exactly was happening. It was then that I discovered that I am still on the system and I have an account owing, to which should have been cancelled. Gary refused to see us, and we were told to leave our name and number and they would contact us as to when we could see him - that has still not happened.

Shocking customer service.
