I called the Legal Department this morning to sort out a matter with regards to a null and void contract that I am still being billed for. Before even listening to my concerns and questions about the matter, Ms Arendse cut me off very rudely and told me about a "5 Day Cooling Period". When I asked her to point me to this section, she told me to check "the back of the contract". After repeatedly telling her that I have not read any such statement and that she should point me to it, she abruptly put me on hold without any warning (I was still mid-sentence when this happened) to obtain a copy of the contract and then proceeded to tell me that she could not find any such section nor statement within the entire contract. Her tone was accusatory, stating that I "MUST just pay the discounted fee" instead of helpful and all round service delivery was despicable. How can one tell a customer that they MUST pay something that is not even written in any contract? I wish to never deal with such obnoxious people again!
