I call planet fitness & speak to Fabian - I tell him I'm 29 & a STUDENT, I'm thinking of joining the club. I ask him if there are any limitations to time etc 4 students. He refuses to answer but responds with - when can you come see me? We have some specials but they are ending today, come see me & I will give you the info on them. I'm suspicious but go in. I NOW ONLY find out they discriminate against age. Although he makes a deal with me and tells me he has confirmed 295 monthly fee 300 joining fee. This is already more than I expected. He cannot process as the deal is not on the system & I have to come back student card in hand. I do so Sat 11 May when he sits me down logs into the system & tells me - oh it's not showing because u over 25 - this after he gave me a deal full knowing my age as I gave him this info TWICE. He then says sorry about that I can't help u - ur only option is R365 p/m. What the? How can you make a deal verbally then go against it? And how can you discriminate against age? Do they know there are 45 yr old fulltime students? Do they not get a deal either? I'm disappointed they promote health & fitness but won't help. Don't go Planet Fitness Plattekloof
