I am fuming right now, this afternoon i returned home from night school to prepare a pasta meal for my family. i had bought Puccini penne before as it was the only penne brand i could get at this shoprite at city view (old game city) durban, but much to my extreme disappointment and pure disgust insects were crawling in my pasta. i only used half and saw these insects in my clean pot, then i inspected the packaging to find more in there. the pasta was sealed completely along with all my other spaghetti pastas which were all clean so i knew its not my cupboards that were infested. i cannot explain how disgusted we are as this is a first for us, so much for trying a new brand. but never again!!! packaging is meant to protect the content inside for consumers. i wonder how many have not checked their food and mistaken these tiny gnats/insects. if they werent alive and moving i also would have overlooked them as ingredients in the pasta.
