We usually don't buy milk from Spar, but yesterday my wife bought Spar's ultra-pasteurised full cream fresh milk. However the milk tasted funny. When I looked at the container I saw it says "Stays fresh for 21 days unopened". Furthermore the best before date is given as 21/05/2013. This is where I got confused. My wife bought the milk the morning of 26 April. Therefore the obvious packing date must be 24 or 25 April. If I add these 5 or 6 days of April to 21/05/2013 it gives me 26 or 27 days to the "best before date". However you state that it will stay fresh for 21 day. Something is clearly wrong here. The 21 days will be past well before the "the best before date". And why does the milk taste funny?
