Terrible attitude

I returned an item to the Seadoone store this morning & was told that the refund could not be given to me in cash as the item had been paid for via cheque card. I explained that I was not prepared to pay bank charges and wait 3-5 working days, especially considering it was only R165. Ms Moodley said that was the store rules & demanded to see my card. I refused & again asked for the refund in cash. I asked Ms Moodley where the refund policy was situated in store but she replied that Checkers could not put all the rules on the wall as 'the rules aren't for the customers'! Surely the refund policy should be in plain sight at the returns kiosk so that customers can be made aware of what the rules are?? There's a sign at every till stating Checkers no longer accepts cheques, so why can't there be a sign at the refunds kiosk?
I asked to see a manager but Ms Moodley just walked off and made a phone call, then returned and said she would give me a cash refund 'this time'! Her disgusting attitude resulted in me walking out and doing my monthly shopping at Pick 'n Pay.
