On friday 29/03/2013 I went to Pick n Pay at East Rand Mall to buy groceries, but to my disappointment most of the shelves were empty and when asked about it, staff told me that it is because of the long weekend, but according to me to long weekend onlky started on Thursday. Aren't they supposed to hold stock to accommodate long weekends. Today (02/042013) I went to the branch at Mall@Carnival and the same thing the shelves were also empty, and it was in the afternoon so the excuse "because of the long weekend" doesn't seem reasonable, do they only want to stock up the shelves by Friday? what about the customers needs? I always support Pick n Pay above Checkers because of the prices and service, but that doesn't help if there isn;t stock.
